Planned Giving
reating a lasting legacy...There
are a variety of ways to provide financial support through charitable giving. But one of the most
effective and meaningful... and one which can provide a lasting legacy... is through gifts involving
estate planning. While there are a number of ways of making deferred contributions through estate
planning, the simplest, and most common, is by including the Higgins Armory Museum in your will
in the form of a bequest. A bequest to the Museum can be accomplished in a variety of ways,
depending upon the size of your estate, the nature of your assets and what you want your gift to
accomplish.
Consulting with your attorney or financial advisor will acquaint you with how such a bequest
can benefit you and your heirs as well as the Museum. They can also review with you the various
other methods of including the Museum in your estate planning, and the one that would most
appropriately conform to your personal goals and objectives. A representative of the Museum staff
is always available to meet with you and your financial advisor to discuss how you want your gift
to be put to use.
If you would like to discuss how you could make a significant gift to the Higgins Armory Museum
without affecting your assets during your lifetime, or if you have already included the Museum
in your will, won't you please contact us? Call or write Development Coordinator, Kerry Casterano,
at the Higgins Armory Museum at (508)853-6015 x42.
