Director's Message
Summer 2003
We hope by the time this newsletter reaches you that Spring has actually sprung and that summer will be here before we know it. It was a long, cold winter – which actually helps attendance at the Museum! Beginning with Founder’s Day in January, followed by the annual Winter Ball, then right into the Annual Meeting (2002 was another great year and our 6th “in the black”!) and Higgins Faire. It has been a busy year so far and we hope that you will join us for the many wonderful summer programs we have lined up.
We recently welcomed Sara Murphy to the Museum as the new Marketing and Special Events Manager. A graduate of Emerson College with a degree in Communications Management and Public Relations, Sara comes to us from the Worcester Art Museum, and we are delighted to have her on board. Diane Laska-Nixon, our previous Marketing Director, returned for a brief engagement to get us through our very busy Spring. Sara is already up to speed and quickly developing her own unique, marketing style. Sara is also ready to answer any rental questions you may have so why not book that special event right here at the Museum and enjoy our new air conditioning!
