Higgins Armory Museum Hires Associate Director For Development & External Relations
The Higgins Armory Museum is pleased to announce that Christina C. McGovern has been appointed to the new position of Associate Director for Development and External Relations. Her responsibilities will include the administration of the Development/Public Relations Department, direct donor contact and cultivation, grants, and the Annual Campaign.
Ms. McGovern, who begins work at the Higgins on December 3, has more than 15 years experience in administration and programming for non-profit institutions, including Worcester Art Museum, ArtsWorcester, and the Pennsylvania Ballet Association. Ms. McGovern serves on several committees, for organizations including National Association of Female Executives, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, Worcester Art Museum, and Leadership Worcester, which she chairs.
Ms. McGovern received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and expects to graduate from Worcester State College in May with a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management.
