Metals Processing Institute Joins Higgins Armory Museum

The Metals Processing Institute (MPI) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has joined the Higgins Armory Museum as a Silver Corporate Member. MPI is a unique industry-university alliance dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art metal processing industry by conducting research projects planned in collaboration with its more than 100 private industrial partners. The Metals Processing Institute is the home of three Consortia - Casting Center (ACRC) , Borrky Powder Metallurgy Center (PMRC), and the Heat Treating Center (CHTE)

"We're thrilled to be a part of the Higgins Armory Museum community," said Dr. Diran Apelian, Professor & Director, Metals Processing Institute. "WPI and the Higgins have a long successful history together, and this membership further cements that relationship."

The Higgins Armory Museum's Corporate Member Program allows local businesses to support a one-of-a-kind cultural institution while gaining benefits for their employees. With 4 levels of membership with corresponding benefits, companies can receive everything from discounts in the Museum Shop and free admission for employees, to private behind-the-scenes tours with the Museum's Director and a knighting ceremony for a CEO (with optional armor).
