Higgins Armory Museum Appoints New Director of Education and Public Programs

(WORCESTER, Mass., December 8, 2004) - The Higgins Armory Museum is pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Reddy Young to the position of Director of Education and Public Programs.

Mrs. Young is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (M.A.) and Harvard University (A.B.—cum laude) and comes to the Higgins from the Tacoma Art Museum, Tacoma, Washington, where she was the Associate Curator of Education. Prior to her tenure at the Tacoma Art Museum, Young held positions at the Seattle Art Museum.

A member of the American Association of Museums, the National Art Education Association and the Harvard College Schools and Scholarship Committee, Young has also acted as a juror and panelist at numerous art shows and conferences and has an extensive background as a teacher, lecturer and contributing writer.
