Higgins Armory Museum

The work of acquiring, researching, preserving and displaying the museum's artifacts is the role of the Curatorial Department. The permanent collection contains more than 4,600 pieces, mostly dating to the 16th and 17th centuries. We also have significant ancient and medieval holdings, and post-1700 pieces illustrating the survival of European medieval and Renaissance arms and armor traditions, as well as a variety of arms and armor from around the world.

The links at the left include various resources for research on subjects relating to the Higgins collections, information on temporary and permanent exhibitions at the Higgins, and a series of virtual exhibitions highlighting particular areas of the Higgins collections.
