Sword Class

The Higgins Armory is among the world’s most important centers for the study of combat arts from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The museum offers a range of classes that include the knightly longsword, rapier, dueling saber, staff weapons, and more. You can also study modern fencing, or take part in the museum’s world-class program of seminars and demonstrations of lost martial arts, offered through the Higgins Armory Sword Guild www.higginssword.org.

Drop-in Workshops The museum offers periodic 45 - 60 minute introductions to a variety of historical combat arts, including the longsword, rapier, quarterstaff, and cutlass.

For all classes, the Museum provides the necessary training and safety equipment (unless otherwise noted). After you have signed up for a class, please bring the Class Waiver Form with you to your first session.
