The Higgins Academy fo the Sword and the Higgins Armory Sword Guild offer several types of training for students who wish to study and practice more advanced historical techniques. Two ongoing fee-based practice sessions are offered and meet three times each week:
In addition, the Higgins Armory Sword Guild has informal, collegial practice sessions for Guild members, which meet several times each month. Guild members must be current museum members and are required to pass a safety test administered by one of the Higgins instructors. A $50 monthly fee covers the cost of the practice gear, which must be regularly replaced.
