Incorporating a new approach to teaching historical martial arts developed by the instructor, William R. Short, students follow a series of drils, games, and exercises to learn martial fundamentals, and then use expanded versions of the drills to research and to build upon our knowledge of Viking fighting moves. The work is physically vigorous, mentally challenging, and above all, fun.
We meet three times each week at Higgins Armory Museum: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30PM, and Saturday from 4 to 5:30PM.
All required equipment is provided for beginning students; more advanced students are expected to purchase the needed equipment that suits them best. New students are accepted with permission of the instructor. A $50 monthly fee covers the cost of the practice gear, which must be regularly replaced.
