Planned Giving

There are a variety of ways to provide financial support through planned charitable giving. One of the most effective and meaningful — and one which can provide a lasting legacy — is through gifts involving estate planning. While there are a number of ways of making deferred contributions through estate planning, the simplest and most common is by including the Higgins Armory Museum in your will in the form of a bequest. A bequest to the museum can be accomplished in a variety of ways, depending upon the size of your estate, the nature of your assets and what you want your gift to accomplish.

Your attorney or financial advisor can explain how a bequest can benefit you and your heirs as well as the museum. They can also review with you the various other methods of including the museum in your estate planning, and the one that would most appropriately conform to your personal goals and objectives. A representative of the museum staff is always available to meet with you and your financial advisor to discuss how you want your gift to be used. Please call Debra Mooney in the Development Office at (508) 853-6015, ext. 42, to make arrangements to discuss your plans or to let us know that you have already included the museum in your will.
